Used Car of the Day: 1986 Isuzu Trooper
Today's UCOTD is a 1986 Isuzu Trooper that's in the midst of a build.
Right now it's a rolling chassis that needs to have the engine and transmission put back in. There are about 145K miles on the engine, and the body does have a minimal amount of rust.
The interior is apparently in pretty good shape, with a radio that can accept Bluetooth, newer seats, a Ford Explorer center console, and a functioning clock. Apparently the A/C worked well when the engine was in place and the vehicle was also nice and quiet. There are period-correct window shades and there are window tints.
The suspension is worn but apparently that doesn't cause any issues with the ride.
The seller will also include what is listed as a "literal truckload" of parts.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

- Carson D A friend of mine is currently driving a Grand Wagoneer L Obsidian III, which boldly calls out its US production status twice by the time you're behind the wheel. I wonder what happens when products like that one share a showroom with ones that don't have any mention of production location.

- MaintenanceCosts All you people asking for an ICE version realize you'd need a longer hood and different rear packaging (for a fuel tank) to make it work, right?
- Jalop1991 ah, the old "engaging!" trope. Isn't it funny how "I have to shift my own gears, it's so engaging" disappears the moment EVs come into play.
