This week, we chat with Karl Brauer from iSeeCars.com about which vehicles might see the most recalls over the course of their lifetimes. The top of the list may shock you -- or not.

Matthew Guy and I also discuss overhead storage options for your garage before getting into the NASCAR Brickyard 400 -- yours truly gets on a rant about NBC and streaming, and I have some issues with NASCAR's in-race decision making. We both discuss Kyle Busch's run of bad luck this season and some other assorted topics related to the race at Indy, as well.

  Listened today (while mowing with an abused ICE mower, and working to bring around an abused property). Two guys speculating while mangling the data might be an accurate synopsis. If i knew what synopsis means.

All this list does is expose the reality that conflating an actual safety recall where you have to bring the car to the dealership for critical repairs vs. an OTA SW update the owner doesn't even know about is ridiculous.

  You are a fool. There is no difference, in terms of safety, between something that can be fixed OTA vs having to bring it in.

  If your company sells a $30,000-$90,000 USD 5,000+ lbs personal transport -which can easily kill the owner or others in the event of severe error- and you can't figure out firmware and O/S when the product launches, no only should you NOT be able to press the "easy" button an unlimited number of times to "fix" it, you suck professionally and need to be blacklisted from that particular industry. Duurrr but what about vulnerabilities? Your 5,000+ lbs potential killer product doesn't *need* to connect to the internetz, its just insane to even think it does. F*** your spyware, f*** your dystopia, and f*** you. Oh I know, lets hook up those 1950s GE Mark I BWR nuclear reactors to the internetz so we can get new daily cat pictures in the control room! Ooops Crowdstrike didn't scram the reactor in time, now its townstrike! In all seriousness anything where a hacker can gain physical access can be hacked as can anything connected to the internet, this is SecOps 101. A real government would prevent this BS, too bad that ship sailed decades ago.

  A lot to unpack. Hey listen, if you don't want updates, turn them off. I appreciate that my car keeps improving, six years since driving it off the lot. There have been some nice upgrades, in range, safety and user interface which I appreciate. You don't have to.

  This is not a new idea @Voghost. a 3.73 rear gear and limited slip improved mine decades after it rolled off the lot. User Interface? I can easily reach a bunch of logically laid out controls,. I suppose I could "update" that to a touchscreen that requires additional attention and button presses to do what those logically laid out controls already do, but who would make their car worse?
