If you want an older sedan with a stick, give this 2001 Volkswagen Passat GLX a look.

This one has the 2.8-liter V6 and a five-speed manual transmission. It also has heated front seats, Monsoon audio, trunk-mounted CD changer, and Michelin all-season rubber.

It apparently runs well, though the seller says it will be an ideal project car for a VW tech and that serious maintenance that needs to be addressed will be coming soon

Ιncorrigible Tim... IF I ever wanted " a sedan with a manual" (I had enough of them for 30 years since I started driving), I would get a HONDA, NOT A GOD DAMNED VW. Of course if you are a MASOCHIST like TIM and want the MOST UNRELIABLE Sedan with the DAMNED MANUAL, you'll get the DAMNED VW.

  This is an opportunity for an important clarification. Many people here have been throwing "Toyota and Honda" together like they are the same thing. They are not the same thing. ¶ Toyota is the mostly-reliable vehicle (depending on model, beware) which might last you a long time but will never be very pleasant to look at. ¶ Honda is the one which used to be good (depending on model) and makes lots of pleasant-sounding promises but will ultimately let you down.

In either case, get your cash out of the bank, stop at the zippy mart for a 12-pack of beer and a pack of matches. Find a clearing with no houses close by. Drink 10 or the 12 beers, then use matches to light the cash on fire. Drink last 2 beers. Pass out, When you wake up you can thank me.

28-Cars-Later Suggestion for future QOTD: Given the fact US road infrastructure is crumbling around us why must all new cars have 20+ inch wheels with tires an inch or two thick in sidewall which literally become bent over time bc of potholes? I know initially in the 90s wheels got bigger to accommodate larger disc brakes but its gone a little too far given the road infrastructure don't ya think?

SCE to AUX I guess the direct sales stores weren't polled. Unless dealers are going out of business, I don't feel one bit sorry for them. They should most fear the mfrs who are eager to get rid of them, reducing costs and increasing customer satisfaction.
