The K4 is stepping in to replace the Forte in Kia’s catalog, but it will remain one of the most affordable new cars in the country. Kia recently announced pricing for the all-new 2025 K4, and the list of standard equipment for the money is impressive, at least in the context of today’s car prices.

The 2025 K4 will start at $23,145, which includes a $1,155 destination charge. The K4 LXS starts at $24,145, the EX at $25,145, the GT-Line at $26,345, and the top GT-Line Turbo at $29,245. The base K4 LX comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, making 147 horsepower and 132 pounds of torque. Front-wheel drive and a CVT are also standard.

Inside, buyers get standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Kia equips a generous number of advanced driver assistance systems. The list includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alerts, and adaptive cruise with stop-and-go. Impressively, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts is also standard.

Though sporty looking, the K4 won’t be a super sharp performer. The top GT-Line Turbo trim steps up to a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, but those numbers are still short of rivals like the Honda Civic Si, which also offers a manual transmission.

Kia will begin sending the new K4 to dealers in September. The GT-Line comes later in November, while the Turbo model won’t land until early 2025.
