Ford Just Gave BlueCruise a Significant Price Cut

Many automakers are pushing forward with advanced hands-free driver assistance features, but buyers often face a harsh reality when the free trial period runs out and it’s time to pay for a subscription. Ford is taking steps to lessen the impact of its BlueCruise system, which recently saw a significant price drop for both monthly and annual subscriptions.

DungBeetle62 Devil's advocate, I LOVE the ELR, I LOVE the idea of the ELR. I get that it's not gonna break speed records. Yes, it was overpriced out of the box and once GM had to hit the Panic Button with the $20K+ discounts I almost went for it (had just paid off my 2007 Miata PRHT and was gonna keep it for when I wanted to go zoom-zoom) YES you only get 60 or so miles of EV range, but fill the gas tank and you're good for 300 miles. Run it dry, fill up again. No need to plug in and wait. The one thing people don't consider is if the Tesla had "laid an egg" out of the box, the ELR would've been the big "Hollywood and Influencer greenie show-off car". History went differently, and the ELR never got to go to the parties.
Wjtinfwb Dealer principal Ken Ganley should be familiar with this scenario by now. His dealership is in New Port Richey, 20 miles North of Tampa and right on the coast. The shelf in the Gulf of Mexico and inward curvature of the coastline make this a cozy place for storms to gravitate to. NPR has been hit several times in the past 3-4 years. It's also a haven for retirees, who on a limited income , likely do consider KIA when shopping for a new car now that the Grand Marquis is extinct. Worse of all, so many private vehicles were damaged or destroyed in this storm, Ganley likely could have sold a lot of Kia's in the next month or two as insurance companies pay claims on totaled cars. Dealers aren't the most sympathy worthy group in the country, but they do run businesses that employ lots of people and contribute a lot to the local economy. For that I do have sympathy.

SCE to AUX Salesman ignorance is another bad symptom of the dealer system. Direct sales people would know the product better - just visit a Tesla store.
SCE to AUX "There are also some lingering questions about long-term reliability, as the base 2.7-liter motor was effectively a de-tuned version of the TurboMax." I have no first-hand knowledge of the 2.7 L3B, but how has its reliability been elsewhere? I wouldn't assume that the weaker engine is more reliable.
