  • Carson D One summer in college, I worked at a car dealership. They offered a freebie to entice people to come in for the new model rollout event, revealing just how long ago I started college. The 'gift' was advertised as a 'German Sterling Silver Serving Tray(TM).' It turned out that "German Sterling Silver" was a trade name for a stamped tin pan. An inch-high stack contained at least a dozen of them.
