Today we present to you a 2009 Volvo C30 T5 R-Design named Sven.

Sven is a stick-shift, with a six-speed manual. Sven has also had a lot of maintenance and repair work done lately or by his previous owner -- you can see it all listed at the forum post.

There are 94,800 miles on Sven's odometer, so it he has the usual dents and dings that accrue with age, but otherwise Sven seems to be in good shape.

Our San-Francisco-based seller brought Sven home with the Premium Audio package, Bluetooth, and satellite radio capability.

You can take Sven home for $7,500. Click here for more.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Sven better have his timing belt recently changed for that kinda cash (on second thought, take home the [what I think is a] Porsche in the background instead).

It is a Boxster with rare matching hardtop! Much more interesting.

Gotta love owners who name their vehicles. We have given names to some of ours, but only the ones that we became emotionally attached to. Generally once you have named something, you tend to take better care of it.

I have the inverse thought. I know many people who know nothing about cars, and named them because they see them in a personal friend way or think it's cute to name a car. These same folks forget they are simply machines that must be maintained.
  • DAC17 Not for me. Way too high price and low range. A bunch of earlier adopters will buy them, and they'll die on the vine.
  • ToolGuy I saw one of these this evening -- or it could have been a Cybertruck. (A lot of new vehicles look alike to me.)
  • ToolGuy Carbon fiber, yes please, thank you.
  • DAC17 Good luck selling 150,000 at that $60,000+ starting price. The rebates and discounts will be arriving soon!
  • SCE to AUX The name is terrible, as is the face, but the other sides look good. It offers less utility than other options, so only special buyers will spring $70k for a hint of retro looks. It's not for me.
