Meet the Concept That Shows Nissan Going Punk
The Nissan Hyper Punk is a concept, and like most concepts, has little connection to what we'll see for sale in a few years, but it does have a few features that intrigue.
Most of the press release is marketing speak that's useless for our purposes, but I took note of the use of 23-inch wheels for on-road and off-road use, and a section highlighting how artificial intelligence and headrest sensors can be used to sense the driver's mood and program the interior lighting and music appropriately.
Nissan envisions this car as a sort of mobile "creative studio", and it also touts V2X charging, meaning that you can use the car's battery to charge other devices. There's also, of course, internet connectivity.
Gamers will note that this car will be featured in Fortnite.
It's one of several concepts the company will be showing next week at the Japan Mobility Show. The other three are the Hyper Urban, Hyper Adventure, and Hyper Tourer.
Take a gander at it below.
