We're going high mileage today.

This 1999 Jeep Cherokee/XJ has over 254K on the clock. And it's being priced at a quite reasonable $2,200.

The owner says it's been well-maintained and has had a lot of key parts replaced recently, or at least within the past few years. There are some cosmetic issues, such as a rock chip in the windshield. This Jeep also has a small lift.

The owner says that there is none of the infamous "death wobble."

If this sort of thing floats your 4x4 boat, it's based in Michigan. Take a look here.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

ha ha, I’ve got one with 114k, no rust no lift, (no heater no gas gauge).

I've seen some in similar condition sold as parts only because the frame is rusted out. I would pass for $2200. Seen a few for $500 that looked the same rust, but sold as "Parts vehicle" with a clean title.

  • 28-Cars-Later Yes because "Mustangs" are EVOs in Clown World. They're really desperate to find a use case for their faux pas. I guess track use is out? :D
  • KOKing BYD doesn't sell _consumer_ vehicles in the US. They've been selling transit buses for several years, and are building a school bus factory.
  • 1995 SC 53k at the cheapest seems pretty steep. Do we know the plug in range or any other specifics?
  • 28-Cars-Later "The Shark PHEV pickup will be sold globally for a starting price of around $53,400"Things starting to heat up as this is further evidence of PRC based/owned firms using USMCA to their advantage... though is a 53,000 USD truck going to sell in Mexico? Maybe their economy is closer to that of the US and ours switched to being closer to historical Mexico?
  • ToolGuy The real reason for the border wall: keep me from walking down there and buying one of these.
