Hey there! Welcome back! It's time for episode three of our new and improved podcast.

You may have heard about some Tesla owners getting frozen out of charging stations in Chicago 10 days ago or so. As our guest, Consumer Guide Automotive Publisher Tom Appel, lays out here, the story is a bit more complicated than that.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

With 90% of the public charging at home you guys are the winning minority. Remember too that most new EV's have 3-minutes free DCFC charging. So having stations down or slow keeps owners from taking advantage of the companies.

Norm so happy you love your EV. I love my ICE. Isnt it so nice when everyone can choose their own vehicle and the petroleum as well as the electricity keeps flowing?

Ede65792611 Got one. It was my Dad's and now has 132K on it. I pay my Mercedes guy zillions of dollars to keep it going. But, I do, and he does and it's an excellent vehicle. I've put in the full Android panel for BT handsfree and streaming with a backup cam.
Lou_BC Wow. People say they want sedans and there should be more of them. Goes to show that internet warriors do not accurately represent the desires of the general population. What do people buy? Jeep Grand Cherokee Only 2 sedans.#5 Is a sedan and an EV#8 The ubiquitous Camry The only way to resurrect the sedan is by banning crewcab pickups.
1995 SC PA is concerning, but if it spent most of its life elsewhere and was someone's baby up there and isn't rusty it seems fairly priced.
