Used Car of the Day: 2007 Volvo C70
Today's UCOTD is a save-the-manuals special. That's right, this 2007 Volvo C70 has a six-speed stick.
It also has a 2.5-liter turbo, just 89,500 miles, the Premium Package, heated seats, a CD changer, all-weather floor mats, and apparently all maintenance is up to date.
Oh, and as you can see here, the car is a droptop.
The asking price is $10,900. Click here to check it out.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

- Redapple2 911 is my dream car. Some day ........... I can predict, it ll be ICE only tho.
- Redapple2 1- XM- I like the hosts, themes of the day.2- CD player. Nice to have. Dont use it as much as I thought I would. 200 cd over 35 yrs3- my 18 Forester had a feature. Push the button and It would find the strongest 15 stations. Nice when driving distances because the weaker stations get weaker 50% of the time. Another ~25% stay weak the entire 15 minutes and fade out. I can count on the strong station staying strong for 45-60 minutes.
- FreedMike Makes me nostalgic for the Golf. Otherwise, it's a cheap old car with engine problems.
- Theflyersfan Body is in decent shape and interior looks to be in excellent shape for a 21 year old (sigh...feeling old now) VW but the engine issue is a major pause. Unless one is sound with wrench, this might be a pass. It could be a cheap winter beater with some snow tires and a "who cares?" attitude with the body. Or get this ready for Le Mons.
- Wolfwagen When traveling for business once i get my Rental I use my phone to google the local AM talk radio stations (not NPR) and program them. FM I check out the presents first, then use the seek function to reprogram the presets as needed. My Honda Odyssey used to have a button you could push and it would reset all the presents to the strongest signals

For anyone actually interested in this C70, here's a better one for $1K more: https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/2007-volvo-c70-with-rare-6-speed-manual-only-57k-miles-and-beautful.667922/
The first convertible I ever rode in was an early '60's TR3. I guess I just assumed all of them would be easy to use - after all, it's just canvas, right? I should have known as on that Triumph I could lean out and touch the ground at 12 years old. I've recently re-upped for an old driver quality convert and the adjustment is more than I expected, but damn is the summer air at 5000 feet elevation at sunup a revelation. I wish that I knew what I know now when I was younger.....
